Description

Creamy Garlic Parmesan Shrimp Tortellini is a delightful dish that combines rich flavors of garlic, parmesan, and juicy shrimp with soft cheese tortellini, creating a comforting plate perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounce cheese tortellini
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions for 3-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about one minute. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning until melted and smooth.
  4. Add the cooked tortellini and sautéed shrimp back into the skillet. Toss gently to coat in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve in bowls, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

Consider adding vegetables like spinach or peas for extra nutrition.

You can use different proteins like chicken or scallops as alternatives.

For a gluten-free option, look for gluten-free tortellini.

A vegan version can be made using plant-based tortellini and coconut milk.
