Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cup cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mozzarella, Parmesan, chopped green onions, minced garlic, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean, flat surface, with one point facing you. Place about 2 tablespoon of your chicken filling in the center. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides, tucking the wrapper securely around the filling. Finally, roll the egg roll tightly toward the top corner and seal it with the beaten egg.
- In a deep skillet or fryer, heat enough oil over medium-high heat to submerge the egg rolls to around 350°F to 375°F. Use a deep-frying thermometer for precision.
- Carefully place a few egg rolls in the hot oil, frying them in small batches until they are golden brown and crispy, usually about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Once the egg rolls are out of the oil, transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
These egg rolls can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a preheated oven at 375°F for about 10-12 minutes to maintain crispiness.
