- 1 1/2 pound sirloin steak
- 1 pound baby potatoes
- 3 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the steak bites dry with paper towels. In a bowl, toss the meat with garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add halved potatoes cut side down in a single layer. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook undisturbed for 4 to 5 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 4 to 5 minutes until fork-tender. Remove to a plate.
- Increase the skillet heat to high and add the remaining olive oil. Place the steak bites in a single layer and sear for 1 to 2 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and keep warm.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and add the remaining 2 tablespoon of butter to the skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 to 60 seconds until golden and aromatic.
- Return the cooked potatoes and seared steak bites to the skillet. Toss together in the garlic butter and cook for an extra 1 to 2 minutes to heat through.
- Transfer to a serving platter or serve from the skillet. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For a low-carb version, swap potatoes for cauliflower. Use olive oil instead of butter for a lighter option.
