  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 3 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Lime slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the fresh lime juice, lime zest, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper until everything is well combined.
  2. Taste the marinade. Adjust seasoning to your liking; perhaps add a bit more honey for sweetness or lime juice for acidity.
  3. Add the chicken to the bowl with the marinade and toss it until each piece is completely coated.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for the recommended marinating time.
