Description

Jalapeno Popper Cheese Twists are savory pockets of goodness combining cream cheese, cheddar, and spicy jalapenos wrapped in flaky puff pastry.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 6 ounce cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 to 3 jalapenos, sliced or diced
  • 4 to 6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, 3/4 cup of the shredded cheddar, jalapenos, bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well-incorporated.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry lightly on a floured surface, then spread the creamy filling over half of the pastry. Fold the other half over the filling and press gently to seal.
  4. Slice the filled pastry into even strips, then twist each strip to create the signature twists. Arrange on the prepared baking sheet.
