- 8 ounce feta cheese, crumbled
- 2 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- 16 sheets frozen phyllo dough, thawed
- Olive oil for brushing
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 3 tablespoon honey
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F.
- In a bowl, combine crumbled feta, fresh dill, and grated garlic. Mix well.
- Lay one sheet of thawed phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it lightly with olive oil. Fold the sheet in half.
- Place a heaping tablespoon of the feta mixture along one short edge of your folded phyllo and roll it up tightly, tucking in the sides.
- Continue filling and rolling your remaining phyllo sheets until all filling is used.
- Generously brush the tops of your feta rolls with olive oil and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- In a small skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter with olive oil.
- Once melted, add red chili flakes and ground cumin, stirring for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Remove from heat and stir in honey until fully combined.
