- 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
- 1 can (8 ounce) crescent roll dough
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Ketchup or hot sauce for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground breakfast sausage, breaking it into crumbles. Cook for about 6 to 8 minutes until browned. Drain excess grease and season with garlic powder and onion powder. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low and melt the butter. Pour in the whisked eggs, gently stirring until softly scrambled and glossy. Season with salt and pepper, then remove from heat.
- In a large bowl, mix the scrambled eggs, cooked sausage, and shredded cheddar cheese until combined.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. Place a spoonful of filling on the wide end of each triangle, roll up from the wide end toward the tip, tucking in the filling. Place seam side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
- Remove from oven and cool for about 2 minutes. Serve warm with ketchup or hot sauce if desired.
