- 2 pound beef stew meat
- 2 cup beef broth
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 packets brown gravy mix
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (if needed for thickening)
Instructions
- Place the beef stew meat, onion, and garlic in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, whisk together the beef broth, brown gravy mix, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and cream of mushroom soup if using.
- Pour the mixture over the beef. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours, until the beef is tender.
- Stir in the cornstarch slurry during the last 10 to 15 minutes if you want a thicker gravy.
- Serve warm over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.
